It is a 2005 2.2 executive it's fine when I start it and drive slowly but when it gets up the revs a bit it starts blowing really dark smoke out of the exhaust! I have only had the car a week and I'm Perhaps not the answer you're looking for, but if the purpose for the car is as described, my experiences with the petrol and diesel civics would lead me to a 1.2 Honda Jazz. Reasons : Jazz-dead easy to get in and out of, compact body, masses of interior space, exellent turning circle, light and easy controls/good visibility, brilliant fuel Honest John Overall Rating. The Honda CR-V is one of the best family SUVs you can buy. It might lack a premium badge, but it punches above its weight in terms of space, efficiency and reliability. 1.6 i-DTEC is punchy and efficient, massive boot and a spacious cabin for five adults, superb build quality edges the CR-V into premium territory. Using bio diesel in Honda civic 2.2 - Civic C-TDCI : I was running my 2002 passat tdi on 100% pure bio diesel without problem but have just changed it for the new Honda Civic 2.2 diesel. I can't find any information on the internet about using bio diesel in the new Honda engines. Available engines are the 2.0-litre i4, 2.4-litre i4, and 3.5-litre V6 i-VTEC petrol engines (V6 was US only), as well as the 2.2-litre i-DTEC diesel engine. All engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission (except Japan where all lineup was automatic transmission only), while the petrol engines get in addition to that a 5-speed automatic Honda Civic 10th generation: 2015-2022. Suddenly, the Civic, after three generations as a tall car, went low again. Body was covered in real and false grilles and wings, definitely a bit all-mouth Excellent. The 2.2 i-DTEC engine is sweet and full of torque. It's not overly noisy either as suggested by some of the reviews I read before buying the car. It's a great motorway cruiser and sure-footed on country roads - holds the road well with minimal body roll. Draws a good balance between comfort and fun. The 2,2-litre turbodiesel four develops 110 kW at 4 000 r/min and a healthy 350 N.m of torque between 2 000 and 2 750 r/min, and seemed to quieten as the kilometres piled on. Mated with a fi ve-speed auto transmission, performance is more than adequate in any situation. 1 post · Joined 2021. #1 · Oct 18, 2021. Hi all, Brand new to the Honda world only really owned audis, golfs and BMW’s. I’m picking a 2007 2.2 Diesel Honda Civic up in a few days and just wondering how many miles are they good for roughly without major repairs ? the one I’m going for is sitting at 220k miles with FSH, I know it’s a Civics with the 1.8-litre engine still feel responsive, and they don’t use much more fuel (6.4 litres/100km on the test, and 8.5 litres/100km in the real world – about the same as a Mazda3). They do require more patience when overtaking on the highway, however, offering about 30 per cent less thrust than the turbos. EDHXwv.
