Everyone will have an opinion, KTM reccomend Motorex. I use Mobil 1 Racing 4T which is a 15w-50 and change the oil about every 250-300km's with a filter change every 2nd oil change. Have used this oil since new on the 525 (11 months old, 4,000km) Ignore the service intervals for eveything. Just keep the air filter clean, change the oil and clean the 2 screens every 250 to 500 miles and the oil filters every 4th oil change. The camchain wears quite slowly, will last 4000 miles or so if you are lucky.
